I had never seen this film, for one simple reason. I confused it with "The Piano"
That god awful chick flick!. Anyway, i sky plus'd it, and watched it last night.
Thought it took a while to get going, but it was ok. The German officer
that helped at the end, was probably just trying to score brownie points and
save his own neck, as well the appreciation for a fine musician.
I cant believe someone so talented was stupid enough to go out in the officers
overcoat though, knowing the Russians were there. He was lucky he didnt get shot!.
Not a bad film, just lacked the realism of Schindler' list.
