They get a ridicules amount of money paid to them just for kicking a ball about but then again the same could be said of most sports when one is thought to be exceptional at a given sport and they then take that decision to turn professional, then they are committed to trying to make the most money they can in as short a time as they can owing to the fact that their career will only be a short one lasting just as long as their fitness etc holds out, so in effect most are retired by mid to late 30s, they have sacrificed the option of going into a trade to earn their living to focus on their given sport, some sports last longer than others though, golf being one such sport where by one can continue way into mid to late life, all good if your good enough I say and have that flair and determination to succeed

Well as I thought the U.S.A did not score a win over Germany all though Germany has not put forwards a team as strong as in previous World cups, it is still a team to be reckoned with, so a U.S.A defeat only I might add by one goal was impressive, all eyes were on the score with Portugal v Ghana a Win by Ghana would have on goal difference had put the U.S.A out of the tournament, Ghana went one up then Portugal went even Ghana only needed one more gaol and they would have gone through over the U.S.A. but try as they might could not achieve this and a second goal by Portugal sealed it and when the score filtered through to the U.S.A. Game the fans went wild as that meant that both the U.S.A. and Germany went through to the last 16 so a loose by the U.S.A. was not such a blow as it might have been all eyes now are on the last 16 to battle it out and the U.S.A. next match will be on Tuesday I think with Belgium, and judging on their performance against Germany stand every chance of progressing still further May I add though a hint of caution to the U.S team, watch those so called professional fouls, the referee in your game with Germany was very fare, and turned a blind eye to many fouls committed by both sides, the next referee may not be so lenient and start handing out those yellow cards, remember two yellow cards and you automatically get a red card and off the field you go leaving your team a man down just watch how you go in for the tackle go for the ball not the player ok, and if you feel a bit peckish while playing don't do what Suarez did and take a bite out of the opposing player even if he looks quite tasty ok any way well done to the U.S. for progressing so far, many thought you would not get thus far, lets hope you go even further in you quest, I must admit this team is your best put forwards so far your well on your way now in the Football world and fast becoming a team to be feared when met on the field of play.

Yeah don't take that long to get Hooked on Football dose it, even a lot of Women get the bug as well even though they seem to have a certain resistance to the game I think that they are just jealous that men's minds are diverted away from them for 90 minutes that's all Well Brazil had a hard fought game last night which went into extra time with still no score resulting in penalty shoot outs which went one way then the other then came sudden death and Brazil went through much to the joy of their Fans whose roar let the rest of Brazil know who won though I don't think any one in Brazil was unaware that they had not as I would have thought every last one of them would if not at the stadium them selves where glued to a TV set and going Berserk with joy they are good for going right to the end now as they enter the Quarter finals

well Argentina after a thrilling hard fought game with Switzerland managed a goal to put Switzerland out and put them through to the Quarter finals, their opponents were to be the winners of the game between U.S.A. V Belgium this game went full time with many opportunities from both side's to score but finished 0-0 so went into extra time from this moment the game came alive two tired teams some how found the energy to battle it out with Belgium scoring a cracking goal that was soon followed by a second one, this put the emphasis on the U.S.A. to come up with some thing and they sure fire did both teams went one end to the other repeatedly and during a U.S.A Floury they put one away to make the score 2-1 they desperately needed a second one and kept hammering away but all though coming close a number of times were eventually deigned and the game finished 2-1 to Belgium who now will meet Argentina in the Quarter finals, I think the U.S.A. had little faith in their ability to win at first over Belgium and Belgium showed that they were of a higher calibre standing at the game than they were, and mostly dominated the field, but the U.S.A. constantly deigned them and in so doing had a few right good chances to score them selves and confidence soon started to grow, as I said it finished 0-0 so went extra time and this is were the game took on a whole new meaning for both teams and all though the U.S.A. Lost the match and a place in the Quarter finals they more than made up for it by gaining experience and respect from the World of pro Football and came away with the knowledge that far from being underdogs they proved that they were a formable team that could and would go places and showed their fans just what a thrill Football is when confronted with a game fought as hard as this one was fought, Respect to them and may you go on to even higher heights from here on and may your fan base grow to even greater heights also to cheer you on well done for getting so far in this World cup am sure one day you will lift that cup and be known as World Champs that's some thing every Country in the World strives for go for it as it can be yours as well as any one else's.

I had to leave for work right at about the start of the match, but as it were it was somewhat of a disappointment. However all and all it was not at all a bad showing.
And this years world cup brought on national interest in the sport. And thats a good thing.

Niagra that is some thing the U.S.A Have yet to except with sports like Football, not every one can be a winner on the night, they to have to understand that a draw dose mean some thing when it accounts for a point, better one point than nothing, points total up in a season and can influence the end game, yes some game when played indecisively and slow can become a bit boring and a bit of a let down, when this happens the voice of the Team supporters let the players know their displeasure and the players better take note and earn their pay packets or else and up the tempo of the game thus making some thrilling games to behold unfold after watching the U.S. in action I noted that they did not in the beginning hold their respective area's of control on the field and their passing was hap hazard to say the least, balls were kicked forwards far to long for the intended player to have any chance of intercepting the pass and do justice with the ball for a potential goal opportunity, in essence the ball was given away to the opposition unnecessarily, I also believe when a player had a chance at the goal the player hesitated far to long and did not weigh up the situation fast enough, ether have a shot while that window of opportunity arises or pass the ball quick and move into another position fast which may put you in a far better place for a maybe return pass which would then give you the chance of scoring a goal, yes there are many tactics yet to learn and execute yet but things are deffo looking good for the U.S. Team to go forwards, now don't dwell on what might have been start working now on gaining a place for the next World cup in 4 years time train hard and bring in some new talent to keep up the steady flow of experienced players, one thing though I noted how many injuries from ham strings the U.S had, the odd one yes but the U.S. had more than their fair share so I would recommend that strengthening up those leg and calf muscles for the next World adventure and get more practice on getting those balls on target more the same could be said of our own Team as well, so well done to the American boys they gone done far better than our boys did this time, but a word of caution next time we may have a better side and we might then meet on the field of battle and well I hope we Win

Well England and the U.S.A. Both have bitten the dust of defeat this time around so all hands on deck to battle on now for another chance in the next World event in 4 years time, till then we still have games yet to be played to arrive at the World cup final and those who are left sure are ready for that final battle, they have all made drastic last minute changes owing to form, injuries and bookings yellow and red cards etc so the game go's on and may the best Team survive to be crowned World Champions 2014 and have their name inscribed in the Annuls of Football History and hold that converted Cup aloft the dream of all pro Footballers the World over.
