| Yes the day was most enjoyable Mrs P as for the cup final I did not get to watch that, I saw highlights in the evening that's all, so Arsenal won then 3x2 well now its the World Cup Coming up and looking at the location that's being played in this time, things don't look to promising as there are mass protests against the vast amounts of monies that the Brazilian Government is spending on new stadiums for the event, the people complain of rising Housing rents, lack of needs for the Countries Hospitals and Health projects and a whole host of other things that are making the ordinary Brazilian's life very hard thus forcing them to march, complain and even riot in the streets, all this and only a short time to go before the World Cup kicks of and Brazil see's mass Tourism as people from all over the World pour in for the event, lets hope that the event go's ahead in the spirit of the game and people can put their grievances to one side for the duration of the event and maybe the spending by those visitors to Brazil may go a long way to off set what the Brazilian Government has spent organising things, hope fully make a handsome profit which it could then plough back into the economy and benefit its peoples to make their living a little less of a struggle. | |

| England played a so called friendly with Honduras last night and what a demonstration of dirty foot ball it was to those Honduran players all though very good at defence and ball control were also dab hands at dirty tackling, at more than one point in the match I could have been forgiven for thinking that their prime purpose in playing England's team was to try and cripple them on the pitch, yellow cards were flying about like confetti, then play was stopped for a while due to a thunder storm, England took it then in the last quarter they had enough and dealt it out back to them a little which did kind of calm them down a little, the score was a draw 0-0 the best thing was the Refs Red carding of one of Honduran players, I recon that 3/4 of their players needed red carding a totally disgraceful show of dirty play that iv seen in a long while, and they had no need for it as they undoubtedly were good football players, that is they would be if they played the game fairly, oh well we got away with out any serious injuries and are now down in Rio waiting for their first game in the World CUP. I noted to on the News as I mentioned before about Argentina yes some of their supporters were there with their banners shouting the Malvinas are Argentine I thought they would seeing as how they are Neighbours of Brazil, lets hope we don't see out breaks of violence during the play | |
