Same But Different
Different but the same
War, destruction
For the powers to be, just a game
People in despair and frustration
Every excuse to tarnish each others name
The next hundred years will be of only hate
Recriminations, its just all too late
Unnecessary deaths, why
Leaders from both sides lie
For peace its too late to try and create
Arabs, Muslims and Jews
You’re the same but different
But tell me who will lose
Why are you all so arrogant
And so eager to accuse
How long does hate live
Festers, whilst it eats away to the core
The need, the want to kill another
The same, but not so different from each other
I see blindness, and hate holding people captive
How about some peace and harmony
Maybe enjoy each others company
Try it without caution or hesitant
I forgot you’re different but the same
With hatred that keeps one’s heart aflame
