Terrible experience last friday week.... Empty
PostSubject: Terrible experience last friday week....   Terrible experience last friday week.... EmptySun May 04, 2014 11:39 pm

I think you know I have a phobia of mice -

well last Friday morning - my cat woke me at 5.30am - playing on my bed - with a live mouse.

It was 2.10pm - when it finally emerged from under the door in a bid for freedom out the side of the front door -

my elderly friend says that must have been the way it came in - as I sometimes leave my door ajar.

I still feel traumatized Twisted Evil

cof: Yes , I know the cure for that, put 4 drops of sun light in a glass of liquid summer breeze ,drink that than stand on one foot than hop three times.
After that you will not even remember ever seeing a mouse.

Rolling Eyes Oh dear me phobia of mice  scratch  ok Mrs P you may look at this in the light that this mouse was defiantly more afraid of  you and your cat than you were of it  Wink and if you go leaving your doors open other things can  gain entrance to, not a good idea in these present times that  cool2 I lock my door in the evening as an extra security measure to deter opportunist sneaking in while im watching the TV or on my laptop  Wink did the mouse gain its freedom and live for another day then, they don't live for very long so every day is precious to them. Basketball

my friend said it leapt through the side of the front door - and bounded across the road.

Unless they die of shock merlin won't kill them - how can a creature with razor sharp claws - not hurt one hair of them Evil or Very Mad

I swept my front "garden" this morning - the chap downstairs seems to have an easy access for them under his front room window - with a good sized gap between the tile and the wall.  I've used 4 tubes of filler blocking up anything that could accommodate a relative - also have a broom - a biscuit tin and a hoover tube at the ready Twisted Evil

Rolling Eyes Sounds like your landlord needs to have a little work done to the building if you got gaps like  that Mrs P  Shocked  as for the mouse don't fret as even I have seen them out side in the garden not many just the odd one, well they got to live some were don't they, you know what they say if you have mice around then you know that there are no rats about, but if you see a rat you will not find any mice about  cool2  so there you have it at least you have no rats so think of this mouse as a friend just like you cat Mrs P.  Laughing  Laughing

Its kind of you to try to alleviate my horrors - but at my first H Assn flat - there were BOTH - the R's appeared when next door had a major house "refit" - plus it dos'nt help when the neighbours keep rice and such in outhouses -

the mice - would come out in the garden - fine sport for Tc (RIP)

My friend (RIP) would come down with a hammer and sack - as both my cats would attack one R - mind you - they were kittens then.

I think those are wise words from Beaver wave  I have at least 6 at any given time in my garage and sheds. I'm not scared of them at all, even though I can't store any food or drink stuffs out there anymore. I went to open up a parasol for the garden table  yesterday and the little critters had scoffed half of that as well !!!!
Not keen on Rats mind, I see enough of them not to be scared, but they give me the creeps affraid Oh the joys of the countryside. A good cat will earn its keep.

Rolling Eyes Well I like to go fishing some time's and some time's I go night fishing, and I get rats all around me shuffling about in the undergrowth, I some times put pieces of my sandwich on the toe of my boot and  they come out quite unafraid and take it, some even just sit there and give me the eye as if to say thank you, mind you if I get up take a quick walk around I first have to make sure my bait lids are tight shut and my lunch box is put away or they will have both away  by the time I get back to my chair  Laughing  Laughing

Rolling Eyes I watched a wild mink one morning running along the opposite bank then disappearing into the undergrowth only to return carrying a small animal a mouse, shrew, I don't know small though, it continued this run back and forth for over an hour all ways returning  with some thing in its mouth, I can only summarise it had young of its own and was feeding them with the young or residents of some mouse colony which it had found further along the bank side, was fascinating to watch not so fascinating for the mice though, think I could do with borrowing Mrs P Cat one night for protection. Laughing  Laughing

Our animals stay on in our hearts.

A cat is as companionable as a dog - as any GOOD cat owner would tell you.

The most intelligent is the Siamese.....but every cat has its own unique personality.

one person and their cat is a special bond.

I have to agree with you regarding the companionship of a pet. They don't judge you. They don't care what you look like. Always happy to see you. Don't mind if you put a bit of weight on. Just Un-conditional love. I have a dog, its as mad as me! My sis has a Cat, its as daft as her. Happy Days.  cheers

Rolling Eyes Thank you Mrs P  Wink a walk in the woods just not the same with out my old flea bag zac  darting about he use to like to go in the shallows of the local pond and just stand there lapping at the water the daft so and so,the ducks did not mind him they got use to him but the swans did not like him in their pond so I had to fend them of while he enjoyed himself then came out again, of course I use to get a soaking when he shuck himself as for my Daughters cat's well old Felix likes to go head to head with me and we look at each other eye to eye  Laughing
funny that because my old Zac and I use to do the same thing usually ending in a big wet tong lick yuk  Shocked
