England the new home of curry.

Im on the edge of Birmingham the curry capital of England! I used to enjoy a good Ruby but now i can't stand the stuff for some reason. If ever i do partake now i cook my own from scratch. 

At least that way i know what's in it!   lol

 Same here Tigger my lad and my Girls prefer my curry's, my lad like's molten lava type curry's but my Girl's like them not so hot kind of middle to mild but tasty,im more middle of the road now my self, but yes home made is the taste of how you like it once the art of curry cooking is perfected. But a good Chinese  don't go amiss nether, well you got to give the toilet a rest now and then haven't yer:cl1:  

such a shame it takes 2 -3 hours to make some WONDERFUL curry's - and just 30 minutes to eat ....

an ages to clear up

 you can all ways make a quick curry that taste's just as good as one that time is taken over, Mr's p.,  I can make one  within 40 minutes and not one out of a jar nether, using paprika, cumin, ginger ,curranda ,garlic, Jamaican jerk seasoning,scotch bonnet, chicken stock, coconut cream, Basmati rice and mixed dried fruit  optional

I can make ONE quicker curry - chicken an fruit

I like the time it takes to prepare a good curry. My problem is i enjoy cooking more than i do eating lol And we you cook only for yourself it's not so rewarding. Ever noticed that? 
Or is it just me

When I was a keen gardener - the pleasure was putting a smile on someone's face -


my sister now puts spare plants - all labelled - by her gate - with a "help yourself"  - am sure this has cheered many a person


as my dead friend used to say "its nice to be nice"

That's really sweet. And a good thing to do. Im sure many people have taken those plants and lovingly planted them. And there will be many a flower to remind people that person was here. 

It is nice to be nice. It's also nice to be nice even in the worst circumstances but not many people want to do it. 
Or are even capable of doing it. 

 To the above curry recipe add what ever grabs you, diced onion, pimento's, chick pea's , chicken, etc  even diced small cube's of potato  goes well or just cheat and use a Patak curry sauce 

I have just read this thread, ye gods i havent had a decent curry since god know when, im saying goodnight and if im Lucky i might be able to buy a curry
