Thought it would bring a smile Mrs P 
Back in 76 I was one of many who lined the route through Westminster for the Queen when she met the then French President GIs tang at the railway station and brought him in her carriage through Westminster to Buck House, were I was standing as luck would have it was next to a building that was having some building work done to it so kept the crowds away from the back of me, my mate on the opposite side of the road had to have his Uniform cleaned after as he got sticky toffee hands of a child held by its Mother all over his back and Head Dress, took all my will power not to laugh as I could see it all happening
