Wind Chimes

Do you like them or loath them? Wood or Metal?

Personally i found that they work, IF they are at the correct distance.
Some folks just hang them right outside the window and im sure they would just be annoying. I was lucky enough to have a tree that was far enough away and not disturbing anyone else to hang them from and the faint sound that is carried from them really is enchanting.
I also think it can be a good sleeping aid. And i have really acute insomnia.

I know that last bit sounds weird but what little sleep i get i find listening to them makes me drift off quicker

 My Daughter and her Husband brought me back from Crete some  wind charms as well as some UZZO  they are wooden one's with what looks like small coconut top,i have also hung them from a tree and they to make a haunting sound in the garden, some say they are annoying, but I guess its were you position them in the first place as to how or if they are annoying or not.

That's funny Stumpy cos i was thinking about Pink Floyd when i wrote that. Must be a common link. Maybe it's Tubular Bells!

I like glass windchimes, they're not as loud as metal chimes and are very soothing plus they look pretty when the sunrays catch them 

 I once put one of those bird seed balls hanging onto the dangly  bit of a wind charm  you should have seen the birds when they tried to hang on it to peck the seeds   did not take them long tho to get use to it and ignored the noise  no I only put the one on the chime for a laugh
