| Hi Fluke, things are ok thanks, how are things with you? Just in case you're wondering I created this site for ukcb users so they have somewhere safe and secure to post etc until ukcb when or if returns, so bad feelings are water under the bridge in my book, ok? | |

| Well there appears to be plans of it returning, the owner re-registered ukcb and the domain in July and re-registered it for another 3yrs, seems pointless in doing that if there are no plans to bring it back, check it out on whois.com The site also comes up online and active on all ping test sites so ukcb is there but just not open to the public yet. | |

| Mr. Cat-do you sometimes feel you are being watched all the time ,? As I recall you had a bit of a run in with da local policia .
And might I add the whole point of world travel is to travel the world ,why are you stuck ? | |

| And feel free to extend a very long lengthy detailed review of yer experiences so we can take it apart and figure out why you are stuck there . You will never gain the worldly experience you seek if you remain at the first stop off . | |

| The run in with the Police was really my fault for not answering the door to them and I didnt answer the door because I had already agreed with the owner to fix the door that I broke and I was also asleep at the time , so just I ignored them . If I would have just opened my door and explained to them that I had already agreed to fix the door, they would have left it at that , so , it was all just bad timing and bad luck . I dont feel that Im being watched all the time , but there again , I wouldnt mind if I was . | |

| The perception of traveling around the World and the reality are two different things , the image of visiting exotic locations , meeting friendly locals and staying on beach front bungalows is different to the reality of endless 12 hour bus/train/boat journeys , grotty hotels and locals continuously trying to rip you off . You may meet some interesting people along the way , but its only a temporary friendship , within a week or so, you will both be going your separate ways and soon to be forgotten about and in the end all the people just kind of morph into one . Its quite adventurous to travel when you are young , in your 20's , traveling all night long on a coach is exciting when you ve just left home but it becomes quite uncomfortable after youve done it a few times . Arriving in a strange town where you dont know anyone and youre stuck in a hotel with everything you own in a bag can be quite disheartening and you just end up in bars talking to strangers who are either gap year students , sex tourists or unhappy alcoholic ex-pats who are drowning their sorrows . Ive got myself an apartment with a gf for three years now with a baby boy on the way soon . I much prefer to have continuity in my life , rather than having everything change on a weekly basis . That is a real life experience , rather than a superficial one | |

| I agree. The world is not that big a place in the grand scale of things. And people are more or less the same everywhere. In my youth and stationed abroad i tore ass through Europe like the Blitzkrieg! lol But one thing i found. No place like home! | |

| Well now fluke ,based upon yer words on a screen you leave me no choice but to extend and in all good intentions ,best wish's to you. However I must say this is not to say I agree with yer in how it is you settled upon yer choice > I say so because what it is you were or are looking for may have required a much longer road fer yer to travel and I dare say if that's the knock down bottom line in it, than of course you know there is no such thing as a short cut or cutting corners. I did on the other hand notice you mentioned you have trveled the long road befor, that indicates you began yer jorney with some degree of experience which can further indicate you may have taken the direct root to what it is you were in search of, that does happen from time to time . And given the present set of circumstances it is of course appropiate to wish you only the best to you and yours. And so Mr. Cat debate on the subject is closed as is the pub because you now have higher priorities and greater responsibilities. The land rover is rolling around on mars in search something and at the same time viewing everything within it's visual scope but as Freddy Mercury says in a song, another one bites the dust. Good luck to you old cat as it is time now fer yer to pass the tourch on to the young and restless so they may carry on. The free sperit of travel is no longer yers to behold. | |
