BAR B Q Sunday

The smoke drifted in the breeze
bergers golden brown,sausage on
chicken marinated takes its place
hungry mouths fill their face

cobs buttered or plain,ready waiting
slip in a sausage bung on onions to
slosh the sauce,mustard to
open wide to take first bite

Sunshine gone,raining hard, bugger
see the demise of Berger cob
didn't even make it to my gob
slowly bends then to the ground
so very nearly,but now its drowned

so here i stand in pouring rain
even my pint has gone down the drain
soggy hot dogs in a row
soaked all through from end to end
this has been a cracking day
pity the Burgers and hotdogs
got away,

Beaver are you still upset about your limp hotdog and droopy burger on Sunday?

Don't let it get to you honey....it happens to all men at some point in their lives   

Beaver thats very good, dont let the limp sausage get to you, i can understand you, a pint of watered down beer, thats enough to make anybody go limp, look forward to reading more

 You mucky lot you  one mention of a soggy limp sausage and your minds wander in the direction of  well you know  i know you know  anyway thanks all for your comments mucky and all  i wrote it off the cuff like and a dead limp sausage has no meaning to a certain part of one's anatomy OK  

Sausage? More like chipolata for Beavers aint it?

 Tiger the old salami sausage at one time would make a Moose's eyes open wide down in the woods by the old pond but time moves on and so does the old sausage worn out over many years of service and gaining the sausage cross and oakleafs medal award for outstanding duty above and beyond the call of duty,battle scarred and hardened by constant action in the field  but time moves on and stands still for no one  so retired from action worn to the bone a chipolata will do nicely thank you  makes a change from having to drag it through the woods,splinters get everywhere you know,all though i will miss its exceptional properties as a rudder when out on the pond like,but as this thread is more to do with the Bar B Q Sausage attacked by a passing rain cloud resulting in limp cobs all around at that very moment a bite was imminent only to miss mi gob due to bending under the weight of said rain water from passing rain cloud i fail to see the connection between that sausage and the one you refer to as a chipolata  but thanks any way as it diverted my mind into a wander down memory lane and managed to bring a smile to my face and a feeling of sheer contentment thank you.
