Hello Sweethearts!!

Okies, well as you know we have moved to West Yorkshire and are settling in and also enjoying the peace and quiet (well I am) and now peace and quiet is important to me.

Before we moved I had an appointment with an orthopedic consultant at Croydon University Hospital, a very nice and distinquished man who sat and listened to me, after listening to my years of woe he then loaded my mri scan of my spine on the computer...

I have not got osteoarthritis, there is no disk sitting on my sciatica nerve and neither is the nerve damaged, but 2 of my disks are right out, the bones where the disks should be are grinding together with my movements, wearing them down and causing some of my pain.

The damage to my spine has been there for years and every symptom and problem I have had through the years and what has brought me to my condition now is Spondylitis and it affects all my body, again there is no cure.

My hands and also my knees are now giving me trouble, my knees lock and I have to force my legs straight which is painful, my hands became stiff and achy when writing, typing and doing a lot of tasks.

The Consultant is recommending a pain management and exercise program but I've decided that I've already been there and done that and I don't want to go through that again, what i do want to do is to spend my time with my daughter and have quality time with her now, to make the most of our time together and to enjoy the forthcoming years for as long as we can

So my lovelies, you won't be seeing me hardly now and not even on UKCB if it returns, my time now belongs to my daughter completely.

So with much love and thanks to you all for your support for me and this website I'm off now, once in a while I'll make an appearance just to bug you, but keep up with this site and get this site busy busy busy!!!

Miss Doubtfire,i took the trouble long ago to see what this condition dose through Deadly Night Angel's post's on Face book,so i know how you must be suffering with this condition,my thought's go with you and your Daughter,make the most of your new life together in your new home and dont let your condition defeat you lass,fight it every step of the way,and dont stay away from here for to long will you.Bev's.xxxx

It's not much fun Beaver, every day there's pain somewhere, the other morning I woke up laying on my side, went to straighten my legs and my knees had stiffened up so much that I had to force my legs straight to get out of bed, needless to say it hurt lol!!

I've developed tender areas on my arms, legs and left ribs, slight touch of pressure and it feels like a bruise is there but there's not.

If this had been diagnosed properly in the first place then maybe I would do the recommended program but so much time has been wasted and the wrong initial physio as well, so for me enough is enough now, I know what exercises to do and breathing exercises and my way of fighting is doing what I think is right for me 

Another thing the consultant said when I asked when I could return to work, he said maybe in 6mths, a year, 2yrs or maybe never, and if I do only part time, light duties and no heavy lifting.....

What good is that to anyone? and that also tells me that there's no guarantees that the program would work....it's like a false hope.

Anyway...changing the subject, I popped in to check everything and the chat rooms and all are running smoothly

 Yes you fight it L.G. D.N.A. Dose her excersize's and all though she to is in constant pain she dose still work and manage's to drive a car,well she did last time i was in touch on face book any way,mind you know that all ready,so there is some light to go by,your not done just yet your a fighter so go for it,dont let it defeat you lass,and yeah L.G.dose suit you best even tho i like calling yuss Miss Doubt fire
