Terrorist Bombing At Boston Marathon

Cities world wide are on high alert after a terrorist bombing at the Boston Marathon that happened about 3 P.M. eastarn standard time on Monday. The authorities in the UK have concerns about the London marathon .

Three bombs went off in locations along the finish line spread apart the last one happens at the JFK presdential library.

2 people were pronounced dead there are at least 90 injuries.
Some of many with missing limbs as a result of the blasts.

The NY Post reports there is a man being held by the authorities in connection to the bombings. The NY Post is not considered a reliable source of news , however it is beginning to look as though other reports are trickeling in to that end.

The White House is staying away from the the T. word-terrorist as in mid eastern terrorist -but news reporting is assigning the lable .

This story will be ongoing.

CBS telle news reports that the incident at the JFK presidential library was a unrelated fire.

It is also reported that a Saudi forign national is being held for questioning.

Don't know how credible that is as of yet.

My thought's are with the victim's and victim's family's

In New York City the Boston city flag is flown at half mast. The people of new York feel the pain and the anger of this most terrible dirty deed .

The 2 bombs were assembled in pressure cookers packed with ball bearings and nails for maximum effect,than placed in back packs and left on the sidewalk. There was a 11 secound time lapse between the two explosions.

One expert who analyzed terrorist acts in the middle east and in country sees that there is sophistication in the assemble of those bombs and given the method training most likley occurred.

They say it is too early in the investigation to say if the Boston bombings are part of the war on global terrorism -

I don't think too early to tell stands to reason.

However the collection of evidence is the first priority down investigative lines.

Thoughts for all of those that have been affected by this atrocity, and for that poor little 8yr old boy....whoever did this are worse than monsters...they're pure evil.

It was very sad what one saw yesterday on the news.

It’s a gorgeous day, the sun is shining, and finally the coldness is going. Going to go to the library sometime today to see if I can get a book on movie maker for dummies. Have a nice day all.

Apparently they have a suspect in the bombings .It is not known as of yet if they know who that suspect is .The suspects image was captured on a department store surveillance system near the location where the bombs went off. The FBI will do a public briefing form boston on the subject line at 5 PM eastern standard time..

Apparently the department store surveillance captured at least on suspect placing a back pack in the spot where the blast happened ,than walked away.


It may turn out by the end of the work day New York time we may know something more about it.

I shall return latter when the live FBI update is broadcast over the airwaves.

This is all breaking news -as the saying goes hot off the press.

This live update is as of 2:17 PM eastern standard time-a few minutes ago-The FBI has communicated a statement -There is no suspect in custody. The statement went on to say the media jumped the gun on the details.

However the video surveillance has been confirmed by credible sources.
And it seems there may be more to the surveilance than has thus far been reported.

The Wall Street Journal

reports that the authorities have been able to identify the suspect captured on the department store video surviellance . The same article reports news outlets have retracted statements about a suspect in custody.

This one is credible.

The federal court house in Boston has been evacuated in what seems to be a bomb threat. A hospital in close proximity has also been evacuated. The bomb squad is there -police and fire boats are on the water behind the buildings and of course the area is sealed off.

This is happening now.

No offical word as to what is going down.

It's after 7 PM in Boston and still not FBI press conference.

Israel is sending over a investigative team to assist in the investigation. I imagine interpol is acting in a advisory capacity too.

We may be in for a surprise telecast from the white house later this evening.

The video surveillance shows two of them. The images are sent to all police agencies everywhere. The hunt is on.

At some point according to news reports those images will be made available to the general public after all proper channels have the information and pictures .

The way it's looking Bev, there may very well be global concern here. Specialist from Israel with knowledge of how terrorist operate in crowds with intent to escape have joined in the investigation. I suspect interpol is receiving up to the moment intel.

If those bombers have ever been in the UK or anywhere in europe as students -that is the information they are seeking to find.

If it turns out to be mid eastern terrorism is behind it ,these are not suiciders -and there is a much bigger picture .

One of the terrorist's was shot dead last evening and the other -the younger of the two escaped on foot after the 2 shot a campus police officer at the Massechusetts Institute of technology.

Both terrorist are Chechen's and have claimed to be of the Muslim faith
and have been identifyed with a group that has a long history of violence-Musilm extremist groups.

Although there is no proof as of yet,there is the tie to mid eastern terrorist operatives.

Sporting events have been canceled today in Boston and since late last night early this morning a small army of police have been conducting a door to door search for the second suspect.

In addition- and this has never happened befor- it looks as though the city of Boston has been shut down. People were advised as of late last night to stay indoors while the police conduct the search for the second suspect.

Never befor has such a search been conducted.The city is virtually shut down.

I don't know that staying indoors became some type of a special order or not. But I suspect the shut down has to do with people cooperating in full in a community effort.

I have only seen such a thing one other time in my life time and that was in 1984 in LA California during the olympic games.

Just befor the start of the games when olympians were about to start arriving-the citys politicans began to worry about traffic and traffic tie up's -this having to do with busing the olympians to the events. The city planners were very worried.

Strange as it be,the people of Los Angeles didn't use their cars to commute or if they did they car pooled and used different routes.

The L.A. city streets and it's interstate highway traffic was reduced to a trickel, exception to city bus traffic.

There was no law inforced -people were asked to car pool or use public transpation to commute in order to reduce traffic congestion-but nobody of the authorities expected the cities people would resolve the issue.

Apparently the governor of Mass. ordered the lock down which confined over a million residents to thier homes.

The second suspect has been captured-he was hiding in a trailered boat under a tarp . The resident went out to look over the boat because early on police had searched around the residence- the resident noticed a door had been opened and noticed blood than called police asap.

It has been reported that the suspects visited their home in Russia recently and stayed for a period of 3 months.
They may have received terrorist training there with those muslim extremist groups .

This 19 year old caught yesterday simply returned to his normal activity as though nothing had happened. Unphased unchanged ,returned to his collage dormitory appearing to be the same guy likeable guy he was preceived by others to be all along.
