Changing Things With Words
Can be the start of new standards
Will we want to change our ways
Or is this a going nowhere phase

Given the chance, what would you change
How would you rearrange
And when you have done so will you be satisfied
What would happen if we all had the same idea world wide

Would you allow your heart to rule
And to whom would you be cruel
Would you wipe out hunger and thirst
Or whould you line your pockets with wealth first

Words cannot change things alone, but people can
If only all could agree on a world peace
From America to Afghanistan
All walks of religion, that would be a showpiece

As i sit here and think
I cannot find that missing link
Everybody wants to change the world
But nobody keeps their word

Shadows.
 
Do you remember how those shadows flickered
Under the quilt you cowered
One of the memories that never flicker away
You clearly still remember them today
 
Do you remember how nervous and scared you were 
We were and still are weak disregard the armour
Sometimes we love to enjoy laying in the dark
In away those first shadows are like a birthmark
 
The birthmark of being scared and fear
Didn’t it feel like the shadows did sneer
Sneer at your weakness
Only for your ears did they cheer in the darkness
 
Too scared to go to the toilet
The shadows will follow you like a evil spirit
Then there was the same journey back again
And the shadows still wanted to get you then
 
I bet you ran back to your bed
The fear of shadows wasn’t just on your head
Those days you kid yourself about
Deep down you remember your fear when it was lights out

i like the shadows
so tru even now that they haunt n taunt u
somenites i lay n watch the shadows n light speed across the wall when cars go by
