Apple Trees
Not so long
ago I ate an apple
I’m quite
partial to apple crumble
I saved the
pips, and put them in water
Little
shoots began to appear eight days later
All of them
I potted with delight
I watered
them most times at night
Its really
easy to grow them at home
Free fruit
just waiting to be grown
It wasn’t
long before there were stems
Small and
thin, my green little gems
Trees don’t
take much gardening
Free fruit
is rewarding
Why doesn’t
public parks have apple trees
Media
bombard us about vitamin C
Stay young
and healthy
Its not
just for the wealthy
Are we
starting to forget all things basic
Our life’s
it seems have become more hectic
There’s so
much we can grow
Its like we
don’t have the time to know
Let a apple
tree grow at leisure
Enjoy the
fruits of nature with pleasure
From a pip
that you have sown
Something
so nice can be your own
Imagine if
starving countries had millions of apple trees
This is
something that could be done with ease
A water
system could be put into plan
Without
profit helping your fellow man
