Friends.....

Found out today that a friend of mine died of a heart attack and was dead in his flat a week before the police broke down the door....
Yesterday I thought of phoning to ask if he was dead as I had'nt heard from him.....

Keep in contact with your friends - you never know.....

Its really hard to never have said "goodbye"....and now I never can.....

Did he have family that kept in touch and saw him regularly?

It's never too late to say goodbye honey, if you missed his funeral, regardless of what your religious beliefs are, you could light a candle of rememberance at a church for him, visit his grave if it was a burial, and some crematoriums have a garden of rememberance where you could lay some flowers for him....or just light a candle at home and say goodbye with your heart and thoughts.

But most of all, don't feel bad that you and your friend hadn't spoken for a while, we can't see into the future and heart attacks can happen suddenly, you or anyone else could not have prevented it honey, so say not goodbye, just farewell.

Really appreciate understanding of how I feel.

Apparantly he's in cold store - am hoping to hear from one of his brother's in due course about a funeral - my numbers are on his phone -

Must have been horrible for the police - apparantly he'd been sitting in his armchair dead for a week......

Just spoke to his BEST friend in scotland - he knows very little - but knows there will be a funeral - in 2 - 3 weeks and will let me know so I can attend and say goodbye.

Out of the blue - My friend's brother phoned me yesterday - he died of heart failure and alcohol poisoning.....and "did I know".....

he rang off before I could tell him I'd traced the grave and had visited several times and laid a "eulogy" and flowers in a vase....

That's sad to hear. But not surprising. People should not die without anyone knowing in this day and age. Unfortunately they still do.

Sorry for your loss Pandora,but your right in your thinking,all though those you love may pass on from this life,they never rearly leave you,as long as you keep them with in your mind then they are all way's within reach and alive within you.
