Inline skating is pretty cool. I played ice hockey while at school.

Birmingham hosted the F3000 super prix. Its like F1 except the cars are not as powerful.
I remember as kid in '86' watching as they turned the old Bull Ring into a Monaco like street circuit. It was a disaster!. The accidents and noise, complaints from local residents meant that the idea was never going to work. The last race was in 1990. And as a 15 year old boy i remember
watching the touring cars, Sierra Cosworth RS500's doing 176mph up to the bull ring. The speed timers they set up for the F3000 cars logged them at only 150mph.

This event was partly responsible for the illegal street racing scene that took place in the 90s. Unfortunately the police put a stop to it in the end, i dont think the morning rush hour traffic appreciated cars upside down in the Queensway underpass lol. But aside from the racing itself, it was social meeting as well. And most people with any sense would not want to risk having to bail on their 30k plus car right after the have crashed it!.

Yeah, quite often. But people just moved out of the city.

And just for the record, i had nothing to do with any illegal street racing. :arrow: lol
