Rolling Eyes An intriguing situation  Shocked one with the possibility of any number of out comes, a ready made disaster many would say, this whole World Cup could go down in History as the biggest fiasco that's ever been seen in sport the World has ever seen, and this would be Brazils Albatross that would hang around Brazils neck for all time never would they be trusted to host an event such as this ever again much to the General public and Governments eternal shame  cool2 lets hope the visiting fans from the World over do not get embroiled in the violence on the streets as they try and make their way to their respective games, will the games go ahead, that's another question ???? will they be stopped in full swing owing to any Dangerous escalation of Street unrest and disruption ???? Shocked  well we will soon find out the first game is only a matter of hours away and from then onwards we will all soon find out. Basketball and don't forget some of the building work on some stadiums and infrastructure are as yet incomplete, we have all ready seen a death as part of the Mono rail structure collapses, will the work that has all ready been done been done good enough to support the thousands expected to attend, or will we again be greeted with more failings that could over shadow the Beautiful game. cool2  Basketball

well Brazil scored the opening goal of the tournament, pity it was in their own goal mouth leaving Croatia 1 up  whistle  was a scrappy fast moving game but I enjoyed it, I like it when they all get a move on and duck and dive and have a go  cool1 any way Brazil scored again only this time in the right goal and went one all then they got a penalty which all though the Croatian Goalie got a hand to it the deflection and power of the kick sent it in back of the net which put Brazil 2-1 up  cool1 not long after they scored again which sealed the match and they finished 3-1 win for Brazil which put the Brazilian fans in fits of enjoyment  scfwav  pity then that out side the stadium the protesters were doing all they could to disrupt the Tournament, and by the look of things did not look like there where that many of them really more football fans than protesters or police so Game on Son. scfwav  scfwav

I thought the ref favoured razil, there were a few fouls they got away with also the last goal was from a foul at the halfway mark

Another world cup runneth over for Pandora

:ccf:  The flow must be endless in order to sustain the suspense.
Beaver has chewed away all the wood on his favorite chair as is the beavers way of dealing with cliff hanging ,nail biting experiences.

Another day, another game to play.

Shocked  rain
after watching Colombia v Greece
then the match with Uruguay v Costa Rica
which i did not manage to see to the end
as i fell asleep on my bed so i could be
fresh faced for the England match at 11.pm
my lad and i decided to stay at home
to watch them as given the time and the
pub being so crouded so as to make it
hard to watch the big screen or get a pint in
we settled for raiding a Fathers day gift from
one of my Daughters namely a bottle of
Chivas Regal 12 year Malt that together with
a fresh case of Guinness and some Bacon Sarnies
the sceen was set for an all action footie special
Hearts racing as England stormed in with a wonderful
display of football unlucky to not score right away
things looked set for a walk over, then the dark
cloud of dispear as Italy went one up forcing us both
to take a large gulp of fire water to aliveate the
shock, but no fear soon after we equilized with a
nifty little kick from golden boot Sturridge
lifting the Hearts of England i am sure i felt this
Island of ours jump and sway as that ball sailed in
then all went wrong, i will not go into detail but
its enough said that we ended up loseing as Italy went
2=1 up to win,but from what i saw and many i suppose
would disagree but its my own opinion, Roonie seemed to
have difficulty seeing were the pitch was as he sent a
corner into the grandstand ROONIE Mate The pitch and
players are the other way you missed by miles deerrrr
and what about our defence or should i say lack of a
defence, time after time Italy had all the room they
wanted when they came up our end of the pitch, at times
i counted up to 4/5 of our players but not one of them
tried to takle the Italian player with the ball giving
him all the time in the World to choose his target
our lads just stood there looking like goons at him
why the hell did not one of them at least harry the
invading Italian so as to disrupt his advance, an
Italian goal was forseen as i said to my Son if we
dont do some thing to stop them then they are going
to score,,,and they did and so we lost, come on
England the forwards are not bad, a bit more shooting
when we get the chance at goal yes,and a bit more in
the way of shooting on target to not trying to hit
space station with the ball flying over the bar
get our defence sorted out or we will be coming home
sooner than planned, we got to win our remaining games
on a lighter note my Son and i got rather blottoed
and retired to our beds the worse for wear but we kept
a smile on our faces as we wiped away a tear, but we slept
well and we did not have a Head with a ringing bell in it
as we woke up this morning. sad1  sad1  sad2  rant3

Very good BeaverHighlights report.

(Don't like Rooney anyway)

Apparantly the pitch was as good as the England/Germany match in WW1 - would you care to comment ???

Rolling Eyes Well I was not around during WW 1 and my Old Dad never said any thing about it but a pitch is a pitch I am sure we have all played on pitch's far worse than the state of this pitch, just because the grass is not fine manicured like those that professional footballer's are use to dose not in any way take any thing away from play, in my opinion it adds to the flavour of the game, its up to the individual player to make the best of what they have and a player who is worth his salt a pitch that is not 100% manicured is no barrier to his skill as a player. Basketball

Rolling Eyes Well those Dirty fouling Hondurans tried it on with the French like they did with us during the pre tournament match with us, but they got short shift from the French, I think most of those so called players got a yellow card a piece and one got the red and sent off and good riddance to, France went on to win and well deserved to, and to my eternal shame I actually found myself cheering on and supporting France God forgive me  Shocked  Shocked  The Swiss also went on to win their Game to and I enjoyed both match's  both not boring to watch as they kept that ball a going  Wink  right then what we got for today 4.0pm its Germany v Portugal  must watch that, then we got Iran v Nigeria at 7.30pm and the late night game for us  at 10.40pm we see Ghana  v  U.S.A  so I will be watching that one also thank god we have not heard those Vuelors  or what ever they called them you know those ruddy trumpet things the South Africans kept blowing last World Cup they drove me right Barmy they did spoilt the viewing and the games they did, any way Games on my SON'S   Basketball  cheers  scfwav

cof: I just want to say there is nothing wrong with a good world wide cup :ccf: which contains the winning contents deep within the mixture where the flavors reveal subtle differences from moment to moment, no two moments the same flavor. As you know there can only be one world winning cup such as the winner I  happen to have in me hot little hand-, and I must say and I am sure you all know I have no intention of losing me grip on me winning cup in hand.

Yers can have a cup if you don't mind but yer cannot have me world wide winning cup because I ain't about to give it up.

So make do with what is there in secounds as it is better a cup than no cup.
