PostSubject: FLOOD EMERGENCY   Thu Feb 13, 2014 7:45 am

I hope none of our members are suffering power failure nor flooding in their homes.

I don't think the news is telling the whole truth - I think this should be a country wide EMERGENCY - even with sand bagging - people are finding water coming up through their floors - toilets are backing up - cholera is on the horizon.

Loss of power - contamination - road/rail blockages -

Mr C - you have had an EMERGENCY since before Christmas.

Even the news seems to be indicating this is far worse than imaginable.Search and rescue will determine the over all damages although the wrath in the storms wake will hang over long after the clean up.

About all that can be said at this point in it is stay dry and stay warm any way you can.

 :ccf:

The only real way to find out the true extent of damage and damage control is direct from people effected by it. We are reading the politicans stand in it where they say they will spare no expense allocating finical assistence, however hurricain Katrina and most recently /sandy on the esatern sea coast of the United States has shown us political corruption of the very worst kind for those politicans in charge of reliefe monies distribution, where it is about lining the pockets of themselves and those connected through the winning of contracts.

The former mayor of New Orleans channeled relief monies to his family owned ktichen remodel company he had his son made the legal figure head of the company ,his company received tons of granite,a material used for high end counter tops.

One such former mayor involved in katrina clean up has been found guilty of 20 counts of corruption including lining his own pockets with storm relief monies.

The governor of New Jersey is also suspect to criminal corruption around storm relief monies distribution among other corruption allegations.

Who are the who's who are watching those who's who are in charge of distribution and requisitioning relief monies ? In other words, who are those who's fallowing the money trails making certain those monies get to where it belongs and not direct to the pockets of the greedy thus leaving the needy with what little there be left ?

At times like these you would think the council would be thinking how to help people, not rob them, what does one pay rates for in England. Talking about rates, my stepmum is 87, and it was hinted to her by her local dustman, if she didnt leave a christmas tip, she could forget about her dustbin being emptied. Such nice caring people we have today
