MY CAT !!!!

...brought in a mouse last night - because I left the door open for him - I saw the tail dangling from his mouth - with my cries he took it in the bedroom and dropped it - I shut the bedroom door and stuffed the gap under it with clothes.

The bedroom is FULL of unpacked boxes/bags/furniture - I called a friend - who couldn't find it - its now 1.40am....this morning he saw it but it moved too fast to catch it - now he's bought 4 traps - put butter in - and its just "time" he says....but when you have a phobia - its AWFUL....he put the cat in there this morning - who just jumped on top of the wardrobe and went to sleep.....

am feeling paralysed with terror....its not a good day

 

Im sorry Mrs P I am trying to keep a straight face honest I am  maybe your cat wants a pet to

I guess when this nightmare is over - it'll make a funny story
 

the bedroom door is sealed - so it can't get out - its still in hiding - my friend checked the traps earlier....

its a joke - I keep a cat to keep them away - and he brings me them 

 

he's going for his check-up and innoculations tomorrow

 



 

 I think your cat Mrs P just wants to let you know that he is on the job miceing  and its just his way of doing a little over time   just like some of us Humans some cats just bring a little work home with them  by the way is it the cat or the mouse that's getting inoculated or both   and I would imagine the sedatives  are yours  Mrs P  

The cat went for his check up/innoculations this morning.

Yes, I'm taking my diazepam to keep calm.

My friend is at this moment on the hunt for IT.

The cat is under the duvet.

Its had 2 lots of butter without setting the traps off - it fought against the suck of the hoover -

   So this here mouse is no sucker then Mrs P  seeing as how you cannot catch it right now and it obviously likes butter from what you have said,then let it have some more,soon it will be so fat that it wont be able to run of and you can then catch it  by the way dose your cat just sit or lay there watching as you and your friend are looking for this mouse,if it dose then he is suspect and planed this all along for some entertainment

cat frustrated he can't go in bedroom - ( wonder who's fault that is) - an NO I'm NOT hunting it - I'm going out tomorrow and my friend will go in there with hoover - fishing net - tea and tobacco - and says he won't come out till he catches it. He's already moved EVERYTHING to center of the room.... earlier he said the mouse was running round the skirting boards and jumping over the traps...

I guess I will laugh about this LATER - but now I'm

mind you Merlin only has 2 eye teeth left - he's 11 - vet was surprised how well he is

 Well im just trying to make light of it to raise a chuckle I think you need one, mouse phobia is no joke to those effected is it, well at your cats age then he most likely ran out of puff after catching the mouse so he is off  the hook,so its down to your friend now then hope he is fit those little critters can motor they can

I think spider phobia must be most common - I worked in a nursing home - where I was the only one not afraid to catch and throw out the window a spider a little bigger than 50p - an I remember being in bed an feeling a dig - it was a spider - I gave that to the cats to play with - spiders can motor too.....

Update:  now I've stopped shaking.

The clothes under the bedroom door were replaced by a towel.

merlin has been sitting under the bathroom chair - opposite the bedroom.

twice tonight I've heard a bang - twice my friend investigated - and upon second investigation - it appears mouse came out under half inch gap under bedroom door and exited under towel - and merlin caught it - came in here and under my bed - my friend said "stay where you are - merlin's got it" - merlin dropped the mouse who tried to escape under the sofa - I saw it run - but merlin caught it  and took it back under the bed to play with it - when he dropped it my friend grabbed it and took it out - and threw it up the road - where the ginger cat set upon it.

My friend will put the bedroom to rights and hoover it tomorrow.

         

 

Don't you just love cats? they think that natures small wildlife has been provided as toys for them  

A few years back my daughter woke up to find a headless pigeon on her pillow  ...or was it the head?? I'll have to check with her

  Sounds very much like to me that this here mouse was bang out of luck poor little critter, I do hope that it manages to elude the Ginger tom and get back to his little den and tuck into a  nice piece of Blue Stilton on Christmas day

 

The poor thing ate ALL the butter ALL of it without setting one trap off.

I stopped shaking yesterday - with the help of a few drinkies and boring everyone I told it to.....only one person didn't LAUGH

  when iv had a few :brr:im as quite as a mouse to Mrs P  apart from the snoreing that is so iv been told

Sorry to read about your mouse problem and upheaval my friend. That's quite a mouse tale lol My cat would have mullered it!!! Trouble is he takes great pleasure in toying with them first. He lets them run a little then pounces and repeats this over and over until the poor thing is on the verge of dying from exhaustion. 
Then he gets bored and it's throat cut time.
