walking in the rain

Yesterday and this morning its been raining on and off most of the time, not wanting to stay sat in doors I put warm clothing on picked up my brolly and toddled of to the local  Deer park, lost in my own thoughts I walked on into the park and I was not on my own, seemed some others also liked to walk in the rain, the park rangers had put up signs that read Beware Rutting season do not go to close to deer owing to the stags being temperamental this time of the year  well  some of the lads who were playing golf were taking their life's in their own hands as stags were bellowing and chasing the Does across the course and looking at the size of those antlers well you don't want them up your jacksey do you, well lost in my own thoughts just walking and minding my own business feeling the refreshing rain on my cheeks I came face to face with one ruddy big stag who stood there looking at me   and I looked back   some 30/40 yards away were a group of Does, his Does I might add I froze stock still and looked him in the eye, he stood still and looked me in the eye also, I expected him to show me his antlers close like, I said I don't want your Does not my type mate  I think he understood because he slowly toddled of towards his Does and gave me a couple of warning Bellows, I saw him turn his Head and look at me as I walked away from him, needless to say all  though these animals see Humans day in day out be care full this time of the year in parks near you which may contain deer also.

Must have been a moment of panic - gosh - good job he didn't attack - imagine the headline -

Too wet to go walking anywhere here today  

It's just non stop

Yep it was raining at the time, I don't mind a bit of rain clears the Head like, and yes Mrs P. it was kind of a moment, some Golfers at the park club have in the past been attacked by them this time of the year, but if you stare  them out normally they back down and move on   Niagra  it wont No yearling buck my friend, it was a big Bugger, infact I would say it was a Royal stag judging by the size of its antlers I did not bother to count the points on them, but im sure he would have made the 12 points and his Bellow was like some one with a nasty cough only 20 times loader

yep public domain is no more when those bucks are loking to mate. You were the intruder .

 Niagra yeah to right, all though its a park and these animals are in contact all year with Humans so are well use to us, at this time of the year one has to be just that little bit cautious of them, and they don't like dogs at all,they normally just move on when you approach but some times they don't and give you the eye

I have been walking in the rain today. It's been so mild the last couple of days and a pleasure to actually look up and enjoy the rain rather it be a pain!.
 

 Yep its been nice today and my walk about around the clubs lake's was most enjoyable, watched while  one of the reg's  landed a 16lb pike and I unhooked it for him cause he seemed a little pensive looking at its teeth when it opened it mouth  
and watched a couple of carp landed to nothing rearly big though about 9/10lb had a chat then drove home,then the rain came and it chucked it down

I certainly will not be walking in the rain today, swimming in the rain more like its ruddy pouring down out there just now   but the ducks are happy all quacking away in the ponds  but if they think im going out to chuck them some left over bread they got another thing coming
