Well Cameron's plan of saving money is working out well by introducing the bedroom tax......

Rent arrears are increasing and and social housing property of 3 bedrooms and more are beginning to stand empty because nobody can afford to live in them......

Now there's a surprise! Rolling Eyes

Cameron may well have forgotten There’s a general election every 4 years. Making promises about this and that after the next election, is really a insult to the British peoples integrity and common sense.

:gng:  Talk about tax,n people out of house and home ,that's about as bad as it gets.

No doubt this blunder will cost him on high. Since nobody wins on this blunder all that is left
is loss. Sine everybody loses ,it stands to reason he too must lose out.

This will put a new meaning to the saying when it rains it pours.

Perhaps it isn't a blunder, perhaps it's because the revenue is going elsewhere and not to get Britain out of the "red" as they'd like us to believe cool1

I wonder what was said about the "window" tax - 300 or so years ago - in some old buildings you can still see where the windows were bricked up - maybe this will be reintroduced again.......whistle

At least the windows could be bricked up to reduce the amount of window tax to be paid, but this bedroom tax is disgusting, forcing brothers and sisters to sleep in the same room, and forcing ppl to leave their homes of many years.

Cameron has destroyed the saying "Home Sweet Home" and those who live in mansions? they don't have to pay bedroom tax....the wealthy ppl can carry on enjoying their luxuries whilst low income families are struggling to feed their children No

I've posted this before.....

Paul O'Grady does an advert on tv for the Save The Children Fund for UK children who are going hungry, what self respecting Prime Minister who is also a father, and a self respecting so-called Government sit by and ignore that??

Why are opposing political parties not demanding that something is done?

Other Prime Ministers were forced to resign when they fouled up, how is it that Cameron
seems to be getting away with what he's doing???

Rolling Eyes Because we the British public have not taken to the streets in mass protest same as other Countries do Shocked France being on such Country that seems to get its way more often than not because they make it known they are not happy Bunnies when they are upset by Government,we did protest more in the past, the poll tax riots come to mind etc,but the British people are not really ones to complain, and when we do we don't seem to keep up the pressure as others do,and Governments know this cool2 so they just sit back supping wine and eating lavish dinners at the Taxpayers expense and wait for it all to peter out then stick a stiff finger up to the general public and carry on as before, its us the public that put them in charge,so its us the public that if we decide that those in power are not doing a good job of it,can and should give the Government elect a vote of no confidence and huft them out of it before their elected time, that might go some way to make those taking over more accountable, and work not stumble around for the Country, then and only then can this Country go forwards,at the moment our Country is being swamped by all sorts from everywhere, and nothing seems to being done to control this,we need people with some backbone to do the job,not jelly babies cool1 cool1

Rolling Eyes I can still remember all the mass demo's of the 60s Ban the Bomb and the protest at the cruise missiles being based here,Vietnam, etc,oh loads more but none really went anywhere, they in power still had their way,a different approach is needed one in which it would cost them their seat in power if they did not tow and steer the Country in a straight true course,we did it once or twice in the past we can do it again it only take a will of the people and a determination an unwaivable awareness,i think that the public should be made aware of people power at an early age, maybe thats why its not taught and made aware of anywhere save from their parents or life in general, most don't really understand the power they really have, the Arabs are waking up as i type, but its gone astray cos its been done in a way that has caused utter chaos, and its going to take a very long time and much bitter fighting to put right,if they can that is,cos they got a track record of doing away with one fly by night only to get another, corrupt as ever, then there is their religious leaders who do more damage than good in my opinion,so we had better get it right if we have a go ourselves like we did in the English civil war long ago, many seem to forget that we here and our friends across the pond have both had our awakenings too, maybe we both need to wake up again to force things to get a little better and fairer form of Government that works for us not for themselfs whistle

Politicians should be made to have a 4 year education, and their salary must only be social security allowance and not a penny more. And of course any money received from family would have to be deducted from their social security allowance. Then they might have a idea what things are really about.

What angers me is the way they've aimed it at ppl in social housing.....
If everyone had to pay it, they themselves would have to pay it, so target the bedroom tax on low income families and make them suffer.

I doubt we'll see much housing being built.

Look at the amount of council tax has been paid all these years, how much of that has gone into "improving Britain"?

Nearly most of that money has gone elsewhere.
