| I don't know how old you are Mr Banjo - I don't think its laziness - I think a LOT of "kids" have everything/or can just ask mum/dad... I suppose doing something for nothing is now out of the question - even within the home. whereas when I was that age - money wasn't taken so for granted - my brother and I had our little sister dressed as a guy - and sat in a pushchair round firework night and we made a financial killing - and not one penny did we spend on fireworks | |

| That was bad of them - we always shared - third each - amazing how quick little ones can learn arithmetic - I think we started ten days before bonfire night....we specialised in working men's cafe's - the cinema - ( we always got moved on from there) and pubs - my sister made a gorgeous guy - she kept the money safe till we got home for the shareout. | |

| Yesterday a friend i know rung me up and asked if i could help her pack some shelves as they were going to her daughters in Copenhagen and being she had been given short notice by the people who would drive and deliver, i got over there as fast as possible, helped wrap and tape Things up, only to find out her son of 19 was asleep in his bedroom, and couldnt be bothered to get up and help his mother, that left me speechless | |

| Beaver, my friend was really ashamed, when the delivery guy came we had a cup of tea, and to save face I asked if we could go fruit picking in the next week, and stock up for Winter. she makes great jam and marmalade. Also pick all the apples one can get cook them and freeze, hence apple crumble in the winter, its free fruit, why pay for it. To be honest, shes a great mate, and also gives me free cooking lessons. Were about 5 brits that stick together | |
